Understanding Member Comments
Dear WiSers,
Member Comments is our internal conversation page. Please use this page instead of email. Enter your comments and questions for all members to see in the “Leave a Reply” text box.
- How comments and group communications work:
- When someone makes a comment in the “Member Comments” each member gets an email.
- The email contains the comment. The comment is also on the “Members Comments” page.
- The email also contains a direct link to the “Members Comments” page for you to leave a reply. The message above the link says – “You can see your comments, on this post here: Click the link below.
- NOTE: You will need the WiS password to reply to the comment.
- When the “Members Comments” page is displayed, click REPLY next to the comment. This will nest your reply directly below the comment. Click POST COMMENT.
- IMPORTANT:
- If you reply to a comment from the email notification, the reply will only go to the person that posted the comment. Reply all from your email does not work.
- Comments made from “Member Comments” remain on the website for six months.
- If you want the reply to be seen by all members, you must reply using the reply button to the right of the post you are replying to from “Member Comments” on the website.
- NOTE: Information in the Members Only area is not available to the public. It can only be seen by members with the WiS password. The WiS Password will be changed periodically. Current members will be notified.
Note: Currently, I receive a notice whenever a comment is posted. I will investigate how to notify the email of all members whenever a comment from any member is posted.
