Writers in Stuttgart
Mission:
- To provide a place for the general public to learn about Writers in Stuttgart, find out how to attend our readings and provide WiS writers feedback through comments.
- To provide WiS members a central place to communicate within the group and find information on everything happening within Writers in Stuttgart.
With the above mission statement in mind, the user interface (UI) is divided into a public area (Welcome ) and a Members Only menu that is password protected.
The Welcome menu:
This menu is for the general public. The information in this area is visible to everyone accessing writersinstuttgart.com.
The Members Only menu:
The Members only menu is password protected. Only WiS members can view the members only information. This area uses a simple global password. This password is only provided to paid members.
The password is changed annually following the annual meeting, for current dues paying members.
Note: The “Members Only” menu shows after clicking “Member Login” and providing the password.
Do not give the password out to anyone that is not a member of Writers in Stuttgart.
Please review the Members Only menu selections. The “Members Only” menu is for your benefit. Let me know if you see something that needs changing. This is your/our website. It is intended to be the central means of communication between WiS members.
Please review the Membership Roster. Make sure your name and email address are correct. Also look at the telephone number column. Some people feel that providing their telephone number is intrusive. Telephone numbers are not on public sites. The “Members Only” area is not a public site. It is password protected. It is only available to the WiS membership. We need to be able to call if last minute information is required or members need to be notified. Please provide your phone number so that your fellow writers can reach you when needed. You can provide this information through the Member information update comments.
Note: You can provide text information to show below the number such as “Call After 18:00” or “Between 10:00-13:00”. This will show on the Membership Roster.
