Prompt: How do feel about the haiku exhibition project? (15 min.)
Andrea:
- Any way of sharing our work with the local community would do us very well.
- Also, I feel obliged now that we have taken the decision to exhibit our work.
Harish:
- exchange ideas of differences and come together as one.
Katharine:
- celebrate Stuttgart and St Louis and the relationship between them.
- put residents in touch with each other.
- examine and celebrate one good effort between St. Louis and Stuttgart.

- What is haiku? […] Every time I try to wrap my arms around the concept, my brain becomes dyslexic. […] Now haiku – this will really be a challenge.

Monthly meetings:
- From now on, everyone wishing their work to be critiqued during the following meeting, you are welcome to mail your text out to all the members of the Writers in Stuttgart shortly prior to any of the monthly meetings.
Possible synthesizer musician for October reading?
- Erica, Jim, and Andrea have heard Leon, a synthesizing musician, at an open mike at Forum 3 / Forum Theater and would like him to consider accompanying us during the October reading at Dreigroschen Theater. Andrea agrees to send him an email and Erica is willing to take a flash drive to Leon with some of our previous readings so he can decide if he might be interested in working with us in October.
St Louis – Stuttgart Sister Cities Exhibition at the DAZ (April – June 2020)
March 7th, 2020:
- Hand in your contribution (haiku or possibly another type of poem or short text) at the monthly meeting.
March 7th, 2020: 1pm – 2pm:
- The Din A1 poster will be put together by Andrea, Jim and any other volunteers at the DAZ.
Blurb:
- Sisterhood, like brotherhood – much like any other relationship – is usually a complex and intricate one. Sister Cities “exchange ideas of differences and come together as one” (Harish).
- In their exhibition of short texts, the Writers in Stuttgart are celebrating Stuttgart and St Louis as well as the relationship between them with the goal to “explore possibilities of two cities” (Hannah).
